Bed and Breakfast on the Isle of Lewis

Calanais Standing Stones on the Isle of LewisThe Isle of Lewis has a great many visitor attractions such as the standing stones at Calanais (shown left) which is, considered by my historians to be, one of Europe's most important standing stones. It is certainly true that the stones are unique in that they are in the shape of a cross, with long avenues, and seem to be part of a much grander arrangement of stone circles that cover a large area of the Isle of Lewis. In fact Lewis and the Outer Hebrides/Western Isles are rich in archaeological sites, many of which are able to be visited. It is surprising how many people stay bed and breakfast in the finest hotels in Stornoway and yet fail to visit these amazing places!

Staying bed and breakfast in a B&B guest house is one of the best ways in which to get the true feel of the Isle of Lewis. Even when staying in a 2 star establishment you feel like royalty the service is that great and all hosts are incredibly helpful, friendly and polite.

Below is a selection of establishments offering bed and breakfast accommodation on the Isle of Lewis.
